Lime Consumer Finance Application Terms and Conditions
The (“User”, or “Client”, or “You”), are committed to carefully read the application terms and conditions (“App Terms and Conditions”) and the privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) before using our services to ensure full awareness and understanding of them. Your use of the Lime application (the “Lime App”) means that you are fully aware of the App Terms and Conditions along with the Privacy Policy, agree to them, and are committed to them.
Lime Consumer Finance reserves the right to modify or change any of the App Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice to you. These changes take effect upon their publication or disclosure through the Lime App.
Please review the App Terms and Conditions regularly to get all updates. When any modifications are made, your continued use of the Lime App constitutes as acceptance of these modifications.
General information about Lime Consumer Finance:
We are Lime Consumer Finance ("Lime" or “We” or “Us”), a company established and organized in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, registered under commercial register number 33806, with its main office located at Plot no. 84 South Teseen Street, Fifth Settlement and a license issued by the Financial Regulatory Authority (the “FRA”) number 51 dated 12/3/2025.
We provide customers with the following consumer financing services (the “Services”) in accordance with the Consumer Finance Law no. 18 of 2020:
1- Lime Education Financing: is a financing product whereby Lime provides financing through direct payment of tuition to the educational institution according to the Financing Agreement signed by yourself and the following terms:
a) Eligibility of the educational institution: The educational institution must be accredited and approved in accordance with Lime’s internal policy and may be subject to due diligence checks. The Client must meet Lime’s requirements as specified in the app, along with any other requirements Lime may indicate.
b) Required documents: The User shall provide Lime with any documents requested by Lime for the purposes of financing acceptance or credit checks.
c) Disbursement mechanism: Disbursement may be made in a single payment or in tranches tied to stages of study/due dates. Each transfer constitutes a proper and final settlement by Lime.
d) Self-contribution and limits: Lime may require a down payment from the User or set maximum financing percentages for certain programs in line with its pricing and risk policy.
e) Refunds: The User and the educational institution must direct any refunded amounts to Lime’s account to be settled against the outstanding indebtedness. Any breach of this requirement constitutes a material breach.
f) Change of institution/program: Changing the educational institution or program requires Lime’s prior approval, submission of updated documentation, and payment of additional fees and/or repricing, if any.
g) No liability: Lime bears no responsibility for the quality, timing, or completion of the educational service. The User’s repayment obligations remain due and unaffected.
h) Suspension/cessation of disbursement: Lime reserves the right to suspend or cancel remaining disbursements in the event of a breach, increased risk, or material change in the study program.
i) Lime’s non-liability: Lime bears no obligations in relation to any dispute between the Client and the educational institution, fee collectors, or payment service providers concerning the original payments; the Client’s obligations to Lime remain in effect.
j) Policy Updates: Lime may amend documentation requirements, disbursement mechanisms, and limits through notice on the app.
2- SWING Financing: is a financing product under which Lime disburses to the Client an amount equivalent to the educational fees that have already been paid, and after receiving the payment supporting documents from the educational institution and/or the User, in accordance with the Financing Agreement signed by yourself and the following terms:
a) Eligibility: Payments must have been made for approved educational purposes and be documented in the Client’s name. The payments must not have been previously financed or refunded in whole or in part.
b) Documents: The Client must submit valid identification, official invoices/receipts in the user’s name, bank transfers/proof of payment and any additional documents required by Lime.
c) Receipt validity period: Receipts/invoices that have exceeded 9 months from the payment date to the date of application/approval will not be accepted, and Lime may modify the said period through Lime App.
d) Disbursement mechanism: The approved amount will be disbursed to the Client’s bank account registered in the app/schedule (3) of the Financing Agreement, following final verification and approval.
e) Financing limits and pricing: The maximum amount, profit rate, and fees are subject to Lime’s published pricing policy and the schedule of fees and charges.
f) Prohibitions and duplication: It is prohibited to finance any payments that were previously financed, discounted, assigned, or refunded, and it is prohibited to submit documents belonging to other persons or unrelated to educational purposes.
g) Risks and recourse: Submitting incorrect/forged/expired documents constitutes a serious violation that results in cancellation of the application/immediate acceleration of the indebtedness and the taking of legal measures.
h) Lime’s non-liability: Lime bears no obligations in relation to any dispute between the Client and the educational institution, fee collectors, or payment service providers concerning the original payments; the Client’s obligations to Lime remain in effect.
i) Policy updates: Lime may amend this product’s terms and conditions, documentation requirements, fees and limits through notice on the app.

Lime Application:
You can register in the Lime App through a controlled process that grants Lime all the required information before starting to provide our Services.
To activate the account and benefit from our Services in an authorized manner, please follow the following instructions and terms:

As part of the registration process you will receive a one-time-password (OTP) via SMS to verify your contact information.
All Lime App users are bound by the App Terms and Conditions.
Your use of the Lime App constitutes your acknowledgment of understanding these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the App Terms and Conditions, you must not use the Lime App.
By clicking 'Agree', you confirm your acceptance of these App Terms and Conditions and commitment to legal notices, Privacy Policy, disclaimer terms, and additional terms and conditions that appear on the Lime App.
Account Activation Terms:
You agree to the following account activation terms:
"Username": It is the identity that distinguishes a Lime App user and is assigned during the registration process. It is a unique service for all users, where the username is currently considered your mobile phone number, and it requires connection to a smart device that allows you to access your Lime account through the username, provided that the registration is done from the same smart device.
"Password": It is a set of codes chosen by individual users during the registration process. It grants the user the ability to access their account and enjoy all Lime application services. In case of losing the password, you can contact customer service at17317 to request a password change.
Your password is for your personal and exclusive use only, as it has a similar effect to a handwritten personal signature concerning services. The user must observe the confidentiality elements followed to protect other personal identification numbers, including OTP, or their financial data. You are fully responsible for protecting your password or OTP.
In case of losing the password or it being compromised, please contact the customer service center via the hotline 17317. You should also change your password immediately. Notifying us by phone immediately is the best way to contain any potential losses.
Once the account is activated and the financing amount is approved, you agree and acknowledge that you must visit the nearest branch to continue the process for obtaining the financing amount.
You agree and acknowledge that the activation of the Lime App does not guarantee the approval of the requested financing amount. Lime reserves the right to reject any application or request at its sole discretion and is under no obligation to provide reasons for such rejection.
Monitoring Mechanism:
You grant Lime the right to inquire about all your personal data, including financial, residential, and employment status. Additionally, you may be required to provide further information and documents as long as you continue using the Lime App.
To avoid fraud, Lime retains the authority to verify the personal information and documents sent to it by matching it with your specific documents. The verification process may include a copy of the national ID, place of residence, or verification of banking information and checking your name against local and international sanctions and crime lists - including, for example, but not limited to, the European Union, the United Nations, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which is responsible for detecting money laundering crimes.
You grant Lime the authority to verify your registration request, and you agree to Lime contacting third parties and conducting a process to activate your request and verify such data and information.
Lime retains all their rights to provide Services to customers based on their absolute desire and will, without bearing any obligations or responsibilities on the part of Lime.
You fully and unconditionally agree to Lime’s right to collect, store, and possess all the information, data, and documents provided by you for use in legally authorized circumstances.
Payment Gateway and Liability Disclaimer:
The Lime App provides access to a third-party payment gateway ("Payment Processor") for processing transactions. All payments and financial transactions are handled directly by the Payment Processor, and Lime is not involved in processing, storing, or managing your payment information.
Lime does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card, debit card, or other payment information. Any payment details you provide are securely transmitted directly to the Payment Processor, and Lime does not retain, manage, or control this data.
The Payment Processor is responsible for maintaining the security of your payment information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Lime does not guarantee the security or confidentiality of your payment data once it is transmitted to the Payment Processor.
You acknowledge that Lime is not responsible for the accuracy, security, or confidentiality of any payment information you provide through the payment gateway. Lime will not be held liable for any loss, fraud, or unauthorized transactions arising from the use of the Payment Processor, including any issues related to the Payment Processor's system or failure to secure your payment data.
Lime does not guarantee the availability, reliability, or performance of the Payment Processor. In the event of any disruption, failure, or issue related to the payment gateway, Lime will not be liable for any delay, failure to process payments, or other consequences that result from such issues.
You agree to indemnify and hold Lime harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Payment Processor, including any issues related to the handling, security, or processing of your payment information.
Intellectual Property Rights:
The term 'intellectual property rights' refers to any patent, copyright, trademark, trade name, service mark, implied right, design right, database right, know-how right, or any other intellectual property rights, whether applied or not yet applied, or ready for application in Egypt or anywhere else in the world, considering the element of fame for those rights.
Lime retains all intellectual property rights in any section of the Lime App, or Services provided under the App Terms and Conditions. Lime also retains all intellectual property rights concerning any updates or new modifications, whether related to Lime or its Services.
Account Termination:
Lime has the right to immediately terminate all terms and conditions and disable the account without cause or liability, and without prior notice.
Upon termination of your account, you will not be able to access the Lime App. Additionally, all your passwords and issued account identity will be disabled.
You acknowledge and agree that the termination of the account will not affect any obligations due on you (including, for example, but not limited to, payment obligations) before the termination date.
If you are not satisfied with the Lime App, you can stop using it at any time, by closing your account.
Warranty:
Lime does not make any representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation of the Lime App, or the information, content, or materials included therein.
You acknowledge and agree to bear the responsibilities of using the Lime App to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Lime is not responsible for the possibility of the Lime App, its servers, or emails sent from Lime containing viruses or other harmful programs. Additionally, Lime disclaims any responsibility for any damages of any kind resulting from the use of the Lime App, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, necessary, and subsequent damages, except for damages resulting from fraud and gross negligence.
Under these App Terms and Conditions, you agree to indemnify Lime, their board members, employees, and agents for all direct and indirect losses resulting from a breach of these App Terms and Conditions or any violations of intellectual property rights by you. These losses include any claims, damages, costs, fees, obligations, or expenses.
The Client acknowledges and undertakes to Lime as follows:
The Client is 21 years of age or older, a resident of Egypt, has a fixed permanent address, and holds a valid national ID card;
The email address provided by the Client is active, registered in the Client’s name, under the Client’s control, and used exclusively by the Client;
The mobile phone number provided by the Client is active, registered in the client’s name, under the Client’s control, and used exclusively by the Client;
The Client undertakes to continue providing Lime with accurate and correct information and documents whenever requested from time to time, and further undertakes to notify Lime of any updates to the Client’s data immediately upon any changes;
The Client acknowledges that any payment obligation arising out of the Financing Agreement signed by them will be fulfilled in accordance with the repayment schedule and the schedule of fees and charges specified in the application and/or the website;
The Client undertakes to pay any taxes or stamp duties due on the financing or repay it in the event of payment by Lime on behalf of the Client and undertakes to indemnify Lime for any such taxes or stamp duties (if any).
The Client is the ultimate beneficial owner of the financing subject of the Financing Agreement signed by them and has disclosed the beneficial owner information in the financing application submitted by the client.
All data, documents, and information provided by the Client are correct and valid and have not been subject to any deletion or amendment.
The Client acknowledges and agrees to Lime’s right to carry out credit rating checks upon accepting this App Terms and Conditions and throughout the term of the Financing Agreement signed by them. The Client further acknowledges and agrees that Lime has the right to send investigators to carry out the said checks as part of the financing acceptance process.
Accuracy of School Listings:
The listing of schools and their associated details on the application is provided to the best of our ability, and while we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information, we do not guarantee its correctness, reliability, or timeliness. You acknowledge and agree that Lime is not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the school listings or related information, and we shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from reliance on such information.
Privacy Policy:
Please review Lime’s Privacy Policy provided herein https://www.lime.com.eg/en/privacy-policy which pertains to the Lime App.
Electronic Correspondence:
When you use the Lime App or send us emails, you are communicating with us electronically. You agree to receive electronic communications from Lime, where you will be contacted via email or through the App’s notification alerts. You also agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications that Lime issues electronically fulfill the legal requirements of their written counterparts.
You also agree to provide an active email address through which you can receive emails from Lime. Lime has the full right to send communications and promotional materials to its clients via the electronic application, text messages, emails, and other electronic means determined by Lime.
You, as a Lime customer, explicitly and unconditionally agree to correspond through electronic means and emails, and that they are valid and effective.
You acknowledge and agree that Lime is not liable for any failure to receive electronic correspondences, including but not limited to emails, notifications, or messages, due to technical glitches, network interruptions, or other issues beyond Lime's control. Lime shall not be held responsible for any delay, non-delivery, or failure to process communications resulting from such technical problems.
Ownership Rights:
You agree that all contents included in the Lime App, including information, data, programs, photographs, graphics, video clips, general lines, drawings, music, audio clips, and any other materials protected under copyright and intellectual property laws. These rights are considered valid and protected in all forms, including through current media and technological means or those that may be developed in the future.
Security:
You are responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of your account when using the Lime App, including the password that enables you to protect access to your device and any OTP. You also agree to accept responsibility for all activities (including payments) that occur under your account and password. Lime has the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at its discretion.
The App may only be used for legal purposes. The Client (account owner) bears all responsibilities for activities that occur under their account or password and cannot deny them, including financial transactions.
Promotional Emails and SMSs:
You agree to receive account status notifications and promotional emails from the Lime App during the registration process, login, and general use. You can cancel receiving promotional emails by clicking on the link provided in the email. However, you do not have the right to unsubscribe from receiving account status email notifications/SMS notifications.
Warnings of Fraudulent Communications:
Lime recognizes the risks arising from fraudulent communications, especially emails sent to the public that claim to be official communications from Lime on their behalf using the name of Lime and/or their trademarks. Some examples of these unsolicited communications include claims to have job opportunities within Lime or that the recipient has won a prize in a lottery. Lime does not authorize any of these communications and therefore do not take responsibility for them. Accordingly, please exercise caution and vigilance when it comes to providing personal or confidential information, as Lime completely disassociates themselves from any type of fraudulent communications.
Severability:
Your visit to the Lime App is subject to a set of policies that govern your visit and use. If there is any term that is illegal, void, or for any other reason unenforceable, this term is considered severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the other terms and conditions.
Early Settlement Conditions:
The Client shall have the right to make early settlement, whether in full or in part, subject to early settlement fees as per the fees and tariffs schedule from the outstanding amount. The Company, at its sole discretion, shall have the right to amend the early settlement policy and its fees with respect to certain transactions related to special offers.
In the event of early settlement, the User agrees and acknowledges the Lime’s right to cancel any offers or discounts previously obtained at Lime’s sole discretion or amend the early settlement fees. Accordingly, you are obligated to pay the full amount of the transactions without applying such discounts or offers, in addition to any other fees, commissions or amounts due.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution Mechanism:
These App Terms and Conditions are subject to Egyptian law. In the event of any disputes arising from the interpretation or application of these terms and conditions, they shall be settled and finally resolved in accordance with the applicable laws in the Arab Republic of Egypt through the competent Egyptian courts.
All installment payments made by the Client through any of the approved payment channels (including but not limited to payment cards, Fawry, Instapay, etc.) shall be deemed non-refundable once successfully made.
Lime reserves the right to take all necessary measures in the event of any breach or violation of these App Terms and Conditions, including seeking an injunction from the competent courts to prevent the disclosure of any confidential information or infringement of intellectual property rights. Lime also has the right to seek appropriate compensation for damages through necessary legal actions, including compensation for damages resulting from attempts to tarnish the reputation due to unauthorized disclosure of confidential information and/or infringement of intellectual property rights. You acknowledge and agree that the disclosure of any confidential information or infringement of intellectual property rights will harm Lime.
